Dear God,

Thank You for everything.
But most of all,
Thank You for You.

I am extremely happy with You
And dare I hope
That You can be a little pleased with me?
Or at least less annoyed?

And if this love-affair is one sided,
Should I nitpick? For who am I
When on the other side stands You…?

I have no idea what transpired for me to write the little note above. It was in July 2005. 5 years have passed since then, Mikhail is turning 7 next year and I have been unmarried for more than 3 years.

Do I still feel the same, you ask? Yes. For you see, God has a soft spot for sinners. They tend to need Him more than any other sort.
