TO GAZE WITH LOVE IS WORSHIP - children, parenthood and the Love of God and Muhammad (s.a.w.)

I am a magician, we are all magicians. Without knowing it, we weave spells and runes in the strange Forms of Love upon the hearts of our children.
I am a sculptor, we are all sculptors. Without knowing it, we take the whitest most purest of white marble and shape the yesterdays, todays and tomorrows of our children.
I am a writer, we are all writers. Without knowing it, we write footnotes, the index and the prologue of our children’s lives. Before we die, we only desire to take our children to the Sea of Love, wherein our children will find the Ink of Light, to write their own stories while ours end.
I am a leader, we are all leaders. Without knowing it, wherever we go, so follows our children, either to praise or condemn us, to love or forget us. So fathers and mothers… know well where you are going!
I am a follower, we are all followers. Without knowing it, when our children comes into our lives, another chapter of learning, another school of understanding beckons us. So of your children, always heed what they say, what they do and the gestures and subtle expressions that play upon their countenance. Their beauty is the Beauty of God.

Love of God, Love for God, Love for God’s Muhammad (s.a.w.) is not a love sought and achieved by one single glance, in one night or upon the gentle kiss of one intimate moment. It is not love at first single sight. It is the falling in love again and again, each and every day, as the sun rises and sets, as the Moon rises and falls, it is love eternal in the many infinite petals of love that manifests itself in God’s own Love for the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.), divinely anointed Mercy to all the worlds, to all creatures great and small, to all nations, to all Adams and Eves.

A Sufi friend of mine once said... "To gaze with love is worship."

I think he has something there... don't you agree, sunshine?

wa min Allah at-taufiq

Hate has no place in Islam
Love will show the Way
