I used to meditate a lot in my old office. My former boss, being the uneducated son of a cross-eyed camel never understood it at all. He said I was sleeping. When I told him that I was astral-projecting and having an out-of-body experience, he countered back, "Funny how that involves snoring!"
I replied that I was reciting dzikr (spiritual invocations of God's names) at a very high speed. It MAY have sounded like snoring. He refused to believe me.
