What happened when I met the Bull of Impatience on the Peak of Knowledge

9. Impatience
Rarely am I diminished
By lack of knowledge,
It being impatience that often
Propels me over the edge.

Ah, you know the drill, sunshine. The higher you are, the harder you fall. And the funny thing is, even if the 'peak of knowledge' is entirely in your fevered imagination, you would still have a painful 'imaginary' fall, breaking your head on a hard and unyielding 'imaginary' floor. I am an expert in this and alas, have had more than my fair share of bulldozing impatience, bananaskins and pratfalls.

So be patient, pet. Don't be like me at all. It is the key to happiness, you know. Although you must admit that being impatient makes an excellent source for cartoons.

Have a happy, happy day.

Hi my old friend Taufiq. God ALWAYS brings us exactly what we need, at the exact moment we need it and I sure did enjoy today's cartoon and most importantly, the sentiment! I too am one of the most impatient people I know, very impulsive, which gets me into trouble on many different fronts! And ah yes, the illusion of the peak of knowledge...currently working on being comfortable with ambiguity and paradox, but it's uncomfortable! But real nonetheless.

As you know, I have been writing for a living for almost a year now, but hope to do more blogging during the slower summer months.

Also, I am currently working on a wonderful piece that I will share with you once it's published about the amazing journey of a young Chechen refugee and her family that I have had the opportunity to interview. She is Muslim, as most of Chechnya is of course...and their goodness and commitment to Islam is such a wonderful counterpoint to all the "haters." Also, I would like to contact you in the future on a writing project to promote interfaith understanding...where you and I would blog on a national website back and forth...just getting started on it....
Can you tell I'm in thinking mode, lots of wonderful ideas out there.

P.S. I love your blog!!

Happy Birthday to America today.

Don't let that bull shove you around! Katherine

Dear Katherine,

Being troublemakers is the honoured vocation of all of us stumbling about trying to be nice and honest. Hehehe.

Ambiguity and paradox is Love's way of making life ever mysterious and surprising, so we won't get bored and ask for another Universe. Hehehe.
Well as for your last proposal, it sounds like a wonderful project and if you require my contribution, it would be my honour to do so.

Life is opening up many doors now, so thank you, Kat for being one of those who is turning the handle and opening a door...

May we all meet in the Valley of Perfection and Servanthood. If we are foolish, may we be guided to wisdom, and if we consider ourselves wise, may be humbled. Hehehe. So it's okay, you know. I don't mind being shoved about (a bit) by the Bull!
